Automaton Transfusion
Automaton Transfusion is an indie horror film written and directed by Steven C Miller.
Automaton Transfusion was shot on location in Orlando, Florida on a very low budget. It is intended to be the first of a trilogy of horror movies, and emulates classic examples of the genre. The film was purchased and released by Dimension Extreme, the straight-to-DVD genre arm of The Weinstein Company.
The film was one of Fangoria’s top 10 Horror films of 2006. Miller, the film’s writer/director, is currently prepping a Werewolf Action film called “Bad Moon Rising.”
Plot
In the early 1970s when everyone in America was worrying about what was going on in Vietnam, the United States Army was secretly developing a way to reanimate the dead. Their intention was to have the dead fight instead of the living, but the experiments were shut down when the reanimated corpses were unable to control their hunger for human flesh.
Thirty years later the army decides to reopen the project. Grover City, because of its remote location, would be the home of their main testing facilities. Without warning, the Grover City experiments go horribly wrong and the reanimated corpses go on a rampage, eating everyone in sight.
With the town overtaken by zombies, a group of High School seniors take it upon themselves to fight back and find a cure for the disease.

after reading all of the reviews online i must say that it got me intrigued. so i went to the nearest video store and bought AUTOMATON TRANSFUSION, i proceeded to watch the movie and i enjoyed it, yes all of the reviews are correct, this really hAS turned the zombie genre around and it makes it a more interesting event than in recent times, in survival horror. very gorey and at times even frightening, the acting was a little too dramatic, i over look all of thatbecause this is not a high budget A-LIST film that big name actors and directors are involved. this was very good i give it a 9 out of 10.

Enjoyed the trailer a lot!
Reminds me of 28 days/weeks later, since the zombies are so fast!
Will definitely watch it!

It’s a good movie but the ending sucks!

i was gonna post something bad about this movie but since zombiemovies.org thinks this is one of the best zombie movies ever i dare you to go out and buy it LOL! I did and i would have rather spent it on getting herpes…. just because i figure they will someday have a cure for herpes if not oh well. Maybe someday they will come out with an ending but until they do I’d rather get herpes… come on a straight to dvd without an ending please!

This really is a poor excuse for a Zombie movie. Even if it is a low budget effort. And I watch a lot of low budget Zombie movies. This site must have shares in this thing if they classify it under “best Zombie movies”.
For a really good low budget effort try and trackdown “Feeding the Masses”. A good concept, clever dialouge and kinda passable acting,…..kinda.

Alot of the scenes had really bad lighting, but it is a good effort seeing as it is a low budget film. And there were some cheesy lines in it as well. i.e “We need to get to the car…. it’s our only chance of making it back outta here.” TOO CLICHE

Was a very awsome movie. For being shot in 9 days and a low budget film it almost exceeds all the expectations.

I was expecting such a good zombie film, after seeing it under ‘Best Zombie Movies’, but definitely hated the acting. I was so lost, since everything happened so fast. The only thing I liked about it was all the gore, and creativity put behind it. I guess, A for effort.

where can i watch it online for free?
it looks so good!

Andrea – I doubt it’s anywhere online.
You should just buy it or rent it.

Awful. Plain and simple. Is this how far the genre has fallen? The film is utter trash and nonsense, with gore being the only redeeming factor. Need proof it’s horrible? Why don’t the infected lay siege to the bar? If they are strong enough to tear of a chick’s jaw, why cant they break down the flimsy door or windows? It didn’t revitalize the genre at all, it just took the Sci-Fi channel Friday movie cliches and spit them out with a little extra pulp.

I decided to give this a chance after seeing that some really liked and some really hated this movie.
I fall into the really hated crowd. Bad acting, pacing and mostly incomprehensible plot.
I would give it 3 out of 10. The special effects and gore were passable.

It looks good on the box. So good that I bought it. IT SUCKS BEYOND ANY LEVEL OF COMPREHENSION!!!
Comment by Hawkins — July 25, 2009 @ 11:17 am
I thought it was damn good. For a low budget movie it was great. And it kinda felt like a home movie of it happening to me.
Comment by RIck — July 26, 2009 @ 4:48 am
It’s good for a low budget, but why in the name of I don’t know what is this under the best zedflicks ever. It’s really and clearly not one of the best.
For the creators: Keep it going strong!!! I salute!

HOW THIS MOVIE GOT BETTER REVIEWS THE DIARY OF THE DEAD I DONT KNOW IT WAS A LOW BUGET ZOMBIE MOVIE THE ACTING SUCKED AND ZOMBIES LAUGHABLE.
Comment by zombiebear — July 30, 2009 @ 8:49 pm
Well what do you expect for a low budget movie?
Comment by Pilot — August 5, 2009 @ 10:50 am

It was fine… but… I couldn’t take it seriously for one minute. Scott’s rage is completely fake, and Chris makes it seem like they put William Shatner in a zombie movie… and I can swear on my life that his girlfriend was smiling while trying to be dramatic, along with blood on her face.
Other than that, it makes sense it was so bad, considering the low budget. And this is @ david. Low budget = less stuff to break. They probably rented the bar…

Is that even legal? :p

This movie blew! I had nothing to do last night so my gf and I bought it, big f-in mistake. The box looks cool but photobucket can make anything more than what it seems. I am a huge zombie fan and I watch the Ramero originals often. This movie was so predictable it pissed me off. I think I predicted better lines than what they used. If they made this movie into a gay porno I think it would have more fans than what it did. You wanna see real zombie movies? Check out Ramero’s films.

Pretty boring movie even for low budget. But of course it’s not the worst one ‘cuz there always be Uwe Ball and his House of the Dead.
Comment by zombiefan — October 27, 2009 @ 6:12 pm
inspired by left4dead xD
this flick took a good start but after the middle it sucked a bit imho. it´s a typical zombie boom movie. fast & gory^^
don´t waste any braincell on the story.
I rate it 6 out of 10 headshots.
