It was terrible and an insult to the zombie genre and a further insult to George Romero. Anyone who actually thinks this movie is good in anyway DO NOT TRUST THEIR TASTE IN MOVIES! .. This movie has a freakin' zombie HELPING humans for crying out loud! Why? OH because he was a vegetarian when he was living so as a zombie he doesn't eat flesh... omfg people. Another thing... the zombies gaining super human powers? When has any good zombie movie ever had zombies with powers? Never, any that have tried are laughed at *memory serves of a severed flying zombie head, flying because the zombie head was flapping his ears* .. it's just dumb just like this movie is. Right from the start, it tricks you into watching it thanks to casting Ving Rhames. I thought for sure this was a sequel to the "Dawn of the Dead" remake (which I loved) since it also starred Ving Rhames. I think the ONLY reason he agreed to be in this movie was so he could be made into a zombie. I admit, I love zombie movies -- for the most part. This one was simply horrific, in every way. The acting was horrible, the plot was nonexistant, the zombies were extremely unrealistic (I'm sorry -- but in some movies, the zombies act how they are meant to act...this movie, no...smart zombies??? Seriously?)...just a sad unnecessary movie. I might have enjoyed it if it remotely resembled the original "Day of the Dead" but it was far from the original.
